Ctrl-Backspace

I was just informed by MikeD (about 2 minutes ago) that much like Ctrl-arrow which you can use to jump around typed text, you can also use Ctrl-Backspace to delete whole words at a time. I suppose this is not too different than using Ctrl-Shift-arrow to select text and then hitting Delete or Backspace, but it is more key efficient.

I wonder what other neat keyboard shortcuts are lurking out there...

ctrl-home and ctrl-end take you to the start and end of documents respectively. ctrl-del works like ctrl-backspace only forwards (as one would expect).

(shortcuts may bahave differently in some programs. I've seen ctrl-del delete a whole line before. can't remember where)

Oh, and ctrl-arrowkeys are a godsend in excel!

uh... that's all I can think of right now. I only use ctrl-backspace with any sort of regularity. (autocad likes to append "model (1) or layout (1)" to the end of all adobe printouts so I nix it with ctrl-backspace)

Cheers!
